Stress

Stress is the number one reason people just like you, get massages. Stress can manifests itself in so many way. You can break it down into two categories. Physical and emotional stress. Most of us don't realize what physical stress can do to our moods.

This simple break down will show you. You wake up, there's a crick in your neck. This can be caused by the stress placed on the cervical vertebrae all night long creating inflammation in the neck. Now you have some mild neck pain.

Each time you try to turn your neck, the action induces pain. In some causes, this causes you to clench your teeth. Some people clench when they are in pain. The more you clench the more stress you put on the temporal muscles.

This will cause a mild to moderate headache. When you spend the rest of your day feeling like this, most people are not fun to be around.

This a great example of the physical stress creating emotional stress.

NOW, how do you manage something like this?

Instead of being like everyone else and hoping that time will resolve the issue, be proactive. Massage therapy is more than just a feel good, relaxation luxury that we spend money on. There are medical/ therapeutic purposes. The example I just gave to you can be fixed in one session. Remember pain in the body is your body telling you something is wrong. Stop putting it off and go get it fixed.
