time to breathe

If you have been with me for a while, you may have noticed in the last year that the emails have lacked my personal touch. Trust me, I have noticed too. I guess you can say I dropped the ball. I extend my sincere apology. Here is a quickie to get us back on track. I have noticed that we devote very little time to an easy thing that has a tremendous impact on our quality of life. As you can see by the title, it’s not something that’s too terribly hard to do.

A simple exercise to start.
In the morning when you wake take 3 minutes and try this. You’ll love this, close your eyes but don’t fall back to sleep. Breathe in for 10 seconds. At the top of your breath, hold it for 10 seconds and try to relax your shoulders and neck. Now breathe out slowly . Now repeat this 5 to 10 times. This will help you stimulate lymphatic flow, reduce your blood pressure, and stretch the little muscles around the spine.
